Finnish black metal duo with themes deeply embedded in nature. This demo is rich with atmosphere, dark dungeon synth and enveloped in raw black metal.

HAIMAD – The Return (2019)

Transcendent, traditional-styled symphonic black metal from Sweden. The highly anticipated EP “The Return” is Haimad’s first release in 20 years, the band having formed in 1994 and being on hiatus since 1999.

BLACK SUN AEON – Routa (2010)

An older favourite of mine and an album that I return to frequently. In my opinion Tuomas Saukkonen (Before the Dawn, Dawn of Solace, Wolfheart) is one of the most impressive and creative musicians in modern metal. Almost everything Saukkonen touches is flawless, including Black Sun Aeon’s ‘Routa’.

EREBOS – A Flame That Pierces With a Deadly Cold (2019)

New release, atmospheric black metal from Poland that is rich with intoxicating ambience. “A Flame That Pierces With a Deadly Cold” is the fourth full length release from EREBOS, however it is the first to feature vocals.

WALDGEFLÜSTER – Mondscheinsonaten (2019)

Intense, passionate atmospheric black metal from Germany, with themes that are drenched in the natural world. This immensely interesting and emotive album is fast becoming one of my favorite new releases.
