IN ROTATION: Our most played albums in December 2018
December. The last month of another dying year. Winter, memories, drawing the line. Enormous quantity of new music and yeah – it was that period of the year when everybody went crazy about their AOTY lists. Well not an easy task indeed…The below five records are probably the most played by me during the month, excluding all the music I had to listen to in order to prepare my reviews or interviews for the Zine. For sure a few albums are missing, but my memories told me the below should be most relevant. Enjoy!
FORLOR – Towards The End
2018, Independent
So black. I mean raw, underground, winter and nocturnal.
SULPHUR AEON – The Scythe of Cosmic Chaos
2018, Van Records
Beyond grandiose album by the band in the last hours of the year.
EVILFEAST – Elegies of the Stellar Wind
2017, Eisenwald
The perfect winter album. Absolute awesomeness! Atmospheric, dreamy, cold, stellar!
..the majesty of the sleeping forest in the snow, the winter nightsky and the frozen stars…
REVOCATION – The Outer Ones
2018, Metal Blade
It gets rapidly under the skin. Technical, furious and with a big heart.
ANGEROT – The Splendid Iniquity
2018, Black Market Metal Label
Swedish DM worship in its best form.
