Hello there,
And… We are at this moment in the second half of August month… Time is running… A lot… And while we do our things, week, after week, we don’t notice the time passing… Meh… At least I had my beloved music to listen to.
So, check my recos…
Band: Cystic
Title: Palace of Shadows
Label: Chaos Records
Release date: 11 August 2023
Country: USA
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording
Are you ready for some rotten, dirty, sick Death Metal with some slow parts that is possible to call Doom Metal? Well, if you are ready for that, Cystic is that. Simple riffs but damn good ones, the cadence of the songs, the sick voice, the raw drum, and the bass are present with some simple but effective lines. This album is a good one and this album is a must listen to for fans of the old style. Grab it.
Band: Horrendous
Title: Feral Legion
Label: Season Of Mist
Release date: 18 August 2023
Country: USA
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording
Uh la la. I was expecting one thing and I got on my face a very damn good album in one style that I’m not a big fan of. The progressive… In this case a Progressive Death Metal. The album manages to grab my attention from the first song till the last one. it is an album that I must “digest” slowly and listen to all the details. The time listening to this album was… How can I say? Very well spent and the repeat mode was on, trust me. Every time I listened the album was another discover, more details found, more notes were and there… Very good. Give a listen to them and enjoy this very good album.
Band: Pavor Nocturnus
Title: Ecatombe
Label: Cyclic Law
Release date: 04 August 2023
Country: Italy
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording
When I saw the name of the band I thought it was on a Hungarian band that released one demo back in the middle of the 00s’ but then I saw the label, and, Nah, not possible. Must be another band. And it was. It is a one-man band that according to the label is a Black Industrial act… Hmmm… Maybe the previous releases… so I made some research… Nop… Not even that… But let me talk about this album. Is not a style that a listen to much and what I know and sometimes I talk, about is just a small drop in the ocean. The main style of this band is Dark Ambient with a lot of industrial beats, some experimental touches, some noise. For the Metal fans… Well, I doubt that will listen to this album, but this album is a very damn good album. Just open your mind or “open your eyes” like we say in my country.
Don’t forget to support the bands and labels.
