IN ROTATION: Our most played albums in July 2019
PERRÖ’S JULY’S IN ROTATION
Here are my most played albums of the last few weeks, days or hours…
And the most played album on Perrö´s phone goes to…
Green Lung. Woodland Rites (2019)
Well, I just cant get enough (been playing Depeche Mode to my daughters lately so…) of GL. Being honest, I don´t see how any other album is going to take the spot of my fave AOY2019. Yeah, that´s how high I regard this one. Love the riffs, the vocals, the vibe, the production and the lyrics. Touched my soft spot. In love.
Though i´ve played their latest release Woodland Rites like 50 times since it came out, i´ve also played their 2018 EP Free The Witch that is just gold also.
Megadeth – Killing Is My Business… And My Business is Good (1985)
One of my fave bands? Mmhh. Not top tier fave, but pretty close. I have been playing this one last week a lot cause I never payed it the attention it deserves. Im digging this a lot, really sharp riffs. How did I missed this ate the time I was getting into them in the early 90´s? who knows…
Spirit Adrift – Divided By Darkness (2019)
I played this one a lot when it came out. Then I turned my sights to another albums, but recently it came back with a vengeance. This is an all-out riff assault classic Heavy Metal mode with a modern take. It will be a part of my fave list of the year no doubt. Like Green Lung, this one I have never heard before, but got me hooked from first note.
Hazemaze S/T (2018)
You know me, I’m a sucker for the 70´s Sabbath worship thing. These guys from are among my faves lately. I didn’t spend much time with their album last year, so it’s time to amend things. This one been playing a lot on my phone, especially after work when I walk home and like to sing along loudly. People stare… Surely their new 2019 soon to be release album will be fire!
Magic Cirlce – Departed Souls (2019)
I’m biting my fingernails waiting for this vinyl to arrive. Been a long wait. Uruguay is just far man… But I got spotify and bandcamp, so I have been playing this one so much I’m sure I can jump on stage with them and sing along not loosing a word of the lyrics. Another band I never heard before and I must thank Saint Anthony Iommi our Riff Lord for his guiding light. Magic Circle rules!
