Wormgod releases official music video for “Icon of Sin”

Black metallers Wormgod released their first official music video for the “Icon of Sin” track from their debut album. “Where Old Curses Rest” was released on October 14 2022 on CD by Void Wanderer Productions and War Productions.

“Icon of Sin” is an entirely do-it-yourself video by the band members and Mihai Alexandru Moga (interior filming, editing).

Video recording took place in Bucharest, inside Pyramid Studio (the band thanks Mihai Niculescu), while the outside shoots are from Bucharest’s Plumbuita park.

Titled “Where Old Curses Rest” to reflect a production which encountered countless problems, but also the theme of the nine songs, the band’s first album has the artwork created by the well-known artist Costin Chioreanu and is mixed and mastered by Andrei “Oase ” at OsimetriC Productions Studio.

Copies are still available at the two labels (see links below).

In 2023, Vladimir Toma, the leader of the band, is working on the second album, while also joining Akral Necrosis.

Wormgod plays atmospheric black metal with death metal influences. The atmosphere of the music is inspired by the urban scenery of Bucharest, the band’s hometown.

Formed in 2009 by Vladimir (instruments), the project debuted with two independently released demos, with two different vocalists.

In the following years, Vladimir continued to compose new music for the first Wormgod album and co-opted Octav Necrosis (Akral Necrosis) again for the vocal parts.

The entire material was recorded in 2018, and then accidentally lost during the mixing process.

To complete the material, in 2019, the band changed the production studio and started collaborating with Andrei “Oase” Spataru who handled the recording, mixing and mastering.
