#BAZUndergroundUpdates CLXXVIII

3 min read

It is…you guessed it! Yet another Tuesday! Of course, our trusty team members Julia Katrin and Tom Osman are back again and this week´s Underground Updates is like no other!

So, let’s see what’s out there…

ALTARS/FOSSILIZATION A few days ago Altars and Fossilization performed at Kill-Town Death Fest and now are embarking on their European tour! You can support the bands by buying stuff directly from them at their gigs, however, if you cannot attend any of them you can still get plenty of stuff through Everlasting Spew Records Bandcamp! We suggest you keep an eye on those tour dates and locations, and in the meanwhile check out the label right here!

LIFEFORCE RECORDS Now that summer is coming to an end it is time for the annual summer sale over at Lifeforce Records, where we can now save up to 20% on anything from their Bandcamp store! Head over here to claim all of the fabulous stuff you want, and make sure you do it before the sale ends on September 17th!

NEUROT RECORDINGS Another week, another album pick! Neurot Recordings never fails to impress, and this week’s album pick for their weekly Pay What You Can segment is Run Thick In The Night by U.S. Christmas! Head over here now to claim your copy and simply pay what you can!

ANTUMBRA Newly released on Romanian label Loud Rage Music, Oblivion is a collection of previously released tracks by Atmospheric Black Metal act Antumbra. Collated for your listening pleasure by multi-instrumentalist/ vocalist Marius Ignatescu, you can listen in full here.

NÉANT The unstoppably prolific and unclassifiable Non Serviam return (well 50% of the duo) with the self-titled EP by Néant – a collaborative effort with Russian-born musician and poet kariti. Channelling Massive Attack alongside Godflesh, it’s dark and dreary in the best way and it can be yours for whatever you wish right here.

TORPOR Following up 2019’s crushing Rhetoric of the Image Bristol, England’s Torpor are set to return with more soul-strangling heaviness of the Sludge/Doom variety. Abscission will be released by Human Worth Records on September 15th. Order a limited vinyl copy and listen to the preview track here.

Having to pay gigantic sums for international postage is a real gear grinder.

While it’s our default setting to link Bandcamp pages in the case of new and pre-releases, we thought it would be helpful to add some online stores that might provide a useful alternative.

So if you see a release you fancy, but it’s being sold in a far off land and you don’t want to fork out on exorbitant shipping, see if any of the links below can remedy the situation.

Well, in case you didn’t notice, this week’s installment lacks some pictures unfortunately. You may pin that on Julia for not being too good at organising photos on a document such as this one…but we hope you enjoyed the instalment nevertheless!
