DESASTER German black/thrash conjurors Desaster have been churning out their unique and unholy blend of extreme metal since 1989, and in 2025 they return with their tenth studio album, Kill All Idols, set for release on August 22nd on Metal Blade Records! RELICS OF HUMANITY In support of their latest album Absolute Dismal Domain, brutal death metal quartet Relics of Humanity will be hitting the road alongside Pyrexia for the Wrath Over Europe Tour 2025 in August! The tour marks the first time in five years that Relics of Humanity performs live so make sure you keep your eyes and claws ready for tickets!

THE OBSESSED Iconic architects of American doom metal The Obsessed has announced a seismic shift behind the kit as drummer Brian Costantino steps away, passing the torch to none other than Bob Pantella, the powerhouse percussionist known for his crushing work with Monster Magnet and The Atomic Bitchwax! In addition, this fall the band will embark on an extensive European tour which includes several festival appearances so make sure you keep your eyes open for some tickets!

INNUMERABLE FORMS Death/doom outfit Innumerable Forms, formed by members of Dream Unending, Sumerlands, Iron Lung, Power Trip and more – has declared an upcoming assault on the East Coast supporting their impending third LP. KING PARROT Australian grindcore maniacs King Parrot will return to North American stages later this month for a two-and-a-half-long summer trek! The epic journey commences on July 25th in Brooklyn, New York with a special performance supporting Acid Bath and Pentagram followed by several shows alongside Weedeater! On July 31st King Parrot will then join The Heaviest Tour of the Summer featuring Pantera and Amon Amarth, with one-off gigs with Squid Pisser and Bonginator scattered throughout, making for over three dozen shows of marauding mayhem! TRIBUNAL Vancouver, British Columbia-based orchestral death/doom metal quintet Tribunal continues to book new tour dates across the continent in support of their acclaimed second LP, In Penitence and Ruin, released earlier this year on 20 Buck Spin, and from August 21st through 24th, Tribunal will perform in Portland, Seattle, Vancouver and Kelowna, a co-headlining run with New Skeletal Faces! PSALM Yesterday saw the release of In Darkness… Have Mercy, the latest EP by Californian doom-merchants Psalm. Following their 2021 EP Blessed Are the Cursed, you can check out the 4-track EP right here along with the band’s other releases.

VIOGRESSION Following 2022’s 3rd Stage of Decay Milwaukee, Wisconsin death-metal veterans Viogression have released latest album Thaumaturgic Veil, a blast of oldschool death metal. You can listen to the album in full here or purchase a copy here.

Future must have…

UBOA & WHITEHORSE I’ve got a fever… and the only prescription is horrible, noisy, churning doom. Now that that’s established, Uboa & Whitehorse have teamed up for a split album The Dissolution of Eternity. The album will be released on Tartarus Records/ Sweatlung and it promises to provide you with a really good bad time. For now, unfortunately, there are no streaming tracks on bandcamp, but you can pre-order the album there on vinyl, cassette or CD.

HEBEPHRENIQUE Australia is certainly not just beaches and surfing, it’s too hot, too far away (if you live anywhere else) and everything kills you. And it’s with such dark thoughts in mind that we present Brisbane, Queensland’s blackened-death-metal unit Hebephrenique and their debut full-length album Decathexis, released on the 23rd of August on Gutter Prince Cabal/ Brilliant Emperor Records (following their debut EP Non Compos Mentis).
