So, let’s see what’s out there…

Summer is drawing closer than ever! Our writers Julia Katrin and Tom Osman continue to wait patiently for the sun and warmth and do so with the weekly Underground Updates

SETH As the harbingers of a sound steeped in the clandestine narratives of Parisian lore and rebellion, Seth released just two days ago their latest single Dans le Cœur un Poignardfrom their upcoming album La France des Maudits! Of course you can head over here to watch the video and listen to the single right now, after which we encourage you to head over here to pre-order and pre-save the upcoming album, scheduled for a release on July 14th via Season of Mist!

COGNITIVE Technical death metal quintet Cognitive is pleased to unleash their new video for the single Insidious! The track is from the album Abhorrence which was released just last week via Metal Blade Records! Head over here right now to check out the video!

BLACK LION RECORDS During this week there is a great 50% sale with the code BLACKLION50! The label has also added some new items from Everlasting Spew Records to their Big Cartel store, and keep in mind that the discount code works there too! Head over here to check out the selection!

REPOSE RECORDS An awesome offer is going on over at Repose Records, where we can now get all the music they release delivered instantly to our mobile devices which of course we have always glued to our hands, so why not use it? You can read more about the subscription right over here, and there are an additional 69 releases following the subscription from their back-catalogue, and it’s all for just £4.99 a month! Every penny that the label makes goes directly towards funding future releases, so it’s really a very helpful domino effect and we urge everyone to take advantage of it!

NEUROT RECORDINGS Our weekly favourite continues, and this week’s album pick for the Pay What You Can segment over at Neurot Recordings is no other than A Life Unto Itself by Steve Von Till! Head over here right now to secure your album and simply pay what you can!

CHRIST DENIED Sometimes you need a nice, meaty slab of brutal, disgusting, sacrilegious death metal to clear the cobwebs. Enter Christ Denied and their new album Christopsy out now on Madrid, Spain’s Xtreem Music. You can listen to the album in full here and purchase a digital or CD copy. Absolute reprehensible filth. Yay.

HELL There’s hell and then there’s Hell! If you like crushing sludge and doom to summon the end of days, you should be getting on the Hell train (AKA M.S.W.). Teaming up with the awesome Sentient Ruin Laboratories, the very first album Hell is being given a vinyl reissue (to be shipped out August 1st). Don’t delay, head over here and get your own little corner of hell.

ANCIIENTS Prog metal comes a-ridin in via Season of Mist in the shape of Beyond the Reach of the Sun, courtesy of Vancouver, British Columbia’s Anciients. The album will be released on August 30th, but there’s space-truckin track available to listen to here, where you can also pre-order the album on a range of vinyl pressings (selling fast), CDs and there’s some t-shirts there too. Check it out.

Having to pay gigantic sums for international postage is a real gear grinder. While it’s our default setting to link Bandcamp pages in the case of new and pre-releases, we thought it would be helpful to add some online stores that might provide a useful alternative.

So if you see a release you fancy, but it’s being sold in a far off land and you don’t want to fork out on exorbitant shipping, see if any of the links below can remedy the situation.

rolls around and of course it’s best to be prepared for summer with all the metal goodies
which are now on incredible offers so make sure you have quick hands!
