Consanguineus 2024 Top 10

Bad Omen – Hell Returns
Via Nuclear War Now! Productions

Their combination of Black and Trash brings back some memories of the time when
I first encountered Black Metal in the 80ties, a Wonderfull trip down memory lane.

Nether – The Blood of Rats
Via Void Wanderer Productions & War Productions

A very talented Belgian outfit which made a big impression on me with this album.
Amazing production and musicianship.

Asgrauw – Oorsprong
Via Zwaertgevegt

The new Asgrauw tells about some of my favorite periods of human History. Again Asgrauw
comes with an amazing album which puts them at the top of the Dutch Black Metal scene.

Rituals of the Dead Hand – The Wretched and the Vile
Via Immortal Frost Productions

The third full-length album of this very talented Belgian outfit which I finally had the opportunity to
see Live last October, actually seeing their other band Hemelbestormer and Rituals in the same weekend
on two several occasions. Again a great album.

On All Fours – Hybris
Via
Ván Records

A sudden appearance of this brand new Belgian band just a few weeks ago with their Debut album which
is a mix of Doom-Metal with some slight Black-Metal influences. An amazing female vocalist and a great
concept. For fans of Wolvennest and The Devil’s Blood.

Nubivagant – The Blame Dagger
Via Amor Fati Productions

The great combination between Black Metal and clean vocals gives this third album of Nubivagant again a different dimension that I really like.

Departure Chandelier – Satan Soldier of Fortune
Via Nuclear War Now! Productions

After their amazing “Antichrist rise to Power” they finally returned back with their second full-length album. With again the emperor as a leading subject.

Deathless Void – The Voluptuous Fire of Sin
Via Iron Bonehead Productions

The Dutch scene is booming and the world has to know, Deathless Void brings us one step closer to being a force to reckon with. One of the better Dutch Black Metal releases of 2024.

Hellbutcher – Hellbutcher
Via Metal Blade Records

Bringing back the old days of Black Metal with all it’s glory, Hellbutcher’s is one of the only releases I bought this year which came out on a “major” label. Although they sound as underground as possible.

Solbrud – IIII
Via Vendetta Records

Although the band now has split-up according to The Metal Archive, this still is one of my favorite releases of the year. Released beautiful on Vendetta Records.

**Please support the underground! It’s vital to the future of our genre.**
