#ShortOnes CII #UndergroundRecos
Hello there,
One more week is gone and… A big weekend for some, but for others not really, but I will not talk about religion, trust me, is not a theme that I talk about and say what I think. So moving forward… Let us talk about music…
Check my recos…
Band: Aetherius Obscuritas
Title: A sors szürke pora
Label: GrimmDistribution / Paragon Records
Release date: 15 April 2023
Country: Hungary
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording
The last time I heard about this band was in 2015 when they released “MMXV”, after that they release a single and one album in 2020, that I missed. Sorry… So when I saw the promo release I decided to listen to the new album. This Hungarian band is more mature, more experienced, and wiser… Normally is the normal path in the world, and because of that (at least IMO) the band moved forward and the music made by them is different, beware that I’m only talking about previous works (except the 2020 album) and this new one. The band deserves a try, so check them.
Band: Atavistia
Title: Cosmic Warfare
Label: Blood Blast Distribution
Release date: 21 April 2023
Country: Canada
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording
Like I said several times in the past here… I’m not a big fan of Symphonic things. But sometimes some bands manage to grab my attention. That was what happened to me while listening to Atavistia. The structure of the songs and the transactions in the songs mixed with the symphonic parts made a lot of Epic moments. It was a really good surprise, even if it had Heavy Metal singing parts, luckily a few. Check them. IMO they deserve.
Band: AthanaTheos
Title: Cross. Deny. Glorify.
Label: Lavadome Productions
Release date: 14 April 2023
Country: France
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording
The label that released this album as been a sign of quality, at least for me, cause everything that I know released by them is good. AthanaTheos is no exception and the Death Metal played by the band is good. It’s paced, melodic, fast, and sounds old school but also recent without modern things. Very good. Check them.
Don’t forget to support the bands and labels.
