BAZ Friday XLIV – Underground Reco For Underground Maniacs
And another #BAZFriday is here. Trying to give some recos is harder and harder. Many good releases lately. Yes, it’s true. Hope you enjoy it…
Band: Artach
Title: Chronicles of a Black Winter
Label: Independent
Release date: 24 February 2020
Country: Canada
Format reviewed: Digital Promo
This is the first release from this Canadian band and even if it is a bit “primitive” it was a good surprise. What they bring is nothing new or amazing, to be honest. Is Black Metal in the most epic and primitive way, at least to me but with some very good leads. Check them.
Band: Luty
Title: Kremacja
Label: Independent
Release date: 18 February 2020
Country: Poland
Format reviewed: Digital Promo
Poland always beans a country that releases plenty of Black Metal. LUTY is one more band. Luckily not a copy + paste band. They do a different approach to Black Metal and I could say a bit original even if it reminds me a few bands. You need to check them.
Band: Ajna
Title: Oracular
Label: Cyclic Law
Release date: 20 March 2020
Country: USA
Format reviewed: Digital Promo
Some friends of mine, told me once that Dark Ambient or Death Industrial cant be relaxing. Well, to me it is, and I can found very interesting sounds in the music those bands, projects, one-man-band do. AJNA from New York is one of those bands that I discovered in the past weeks. In this case, they are not so related to Dark Ambient. In my opinion, they are a mix of Death Industrial and Ambient music. If you can listen to them.
