The Absolution Sequence launches new single “The Nightlight Sigil”

The new video from Tasmanian death metal devils THE ABSOLUTION SEQUENCE is now streaming. “The Nightlight Sigil” is the third single off the band’s highly anticipated full-length album, Dread Cycle.

Vocalist Shawn Wells calls the song the most personal track on Dread Cycle. “The Nightlight Sigil is a tale of family trauma, toxic home environments and the way in which one is treated in the aftermath. Often those who have suffered the most where they are meant to feel protected are shamed and forgotten. The aim of this is to keep the conversation alive, and begin to heal these deep wounds.”

Following a string of EPs and singles, the album promises to be the band’s most incendiary work yet. Slated for release via Bleeding Art Collective, with distribution by Blood Blast Distribution, Dread Cycle is set to solidify the band’s position as a premier name in contemporary technical death metal.

Dread Cycle is due out on August 14.
