Panzerchrist – Maleficium Part 2 via Emanzipation Productions

The wait is over: today, Danish death metal veterans PANZERCHRIST deliver “Maleficium Part 2”, the concluding chapter of their ambitious double-album journey. Out now digitally via Emanzipation Productions, the record pushes the band’s blackened death assault to new levels of ferocity and atmosphere.

Following last year’s “Maleficium Part 1”, this release showcases the band at their most uncompromising, blending relentless speed, apocalyptic heaviness, and haunting melodic textures. It also stands as the final work conceived under the direction of founding member Michael Enevoldsen, who recently stepped aside, leaving the remaining members to honor and expand upon his vision with renewed determination.

On Part 2, Panzerchrist broaden their sound with searing tempos, cinematic synth layers, and moments of crushing doom. Lyrically, the album once again revolves around witchcraft, delving deeper into stories of persecution, sorrow, and corruption, with echoes that resonate in the modern world. Frontwoman Sonja Rosenlund Ahl delivers an intense and emotive vocal performance, balancing fury with lyrical finesse, while guitarists Frederik O’Carroll and Danny Bo unleash intricate riffing and darkly harmonized passages. Drummer Ove Lungskov injects sheer extremity with technical precision and punishing blastbeats.

The album was produced, mixed, and mastered by Tue Madsen at Antfarm Studios, ensuring a raw, visceral soundscape worthy of the band’s legacy.
