#Pegah 2025 Top 10 – Part 2
Our writer Pegah wrote some lines about their Top 10 (second time). Check it.

Nimh::Onasander – Unveiled Lights via Fluttering Dragon Records
“Unveiled Lights” is an immersive dark ambient album with five extended tracks that carry a deeply atmospheric weight. The soundscapes are so captivating that you lose track of time, enveloped in the experience. It’s a mesmerizing exploration of light, darkness, and the spaces between—another exceptional addition to the dark ambient genre.

Shibalba – Nekrologie Sinistrae Orchestra Noise Opus II via Zazen Sounds & Cyclic Law
The album unfolds like a shadowed ceremonial rite, driven by thunderous drums, ritual chants, and commanding narrations that summon the listener into a liminal space. Voices shift from meditative mantras to delirious screams, while dense electronic textures and spectral echoes blur the boundary between the physical and the metaphysical. Eastern-tinged rhythms, whispered invocations, and orchestral swells create a hypnotic momentum, as if unseen forces are being drawn into the circle.

Schwarzer Tag, Tunnel Kasino & Eva C.Petersen – Divided We Fall via Ignore The Past Recordings
The album is a carefully crafted dialogue between classical poetry, emotional memory, and modern sound design. Each track introduces powerful literary voices woven into rich sonic textures that give these timeless words new resonance. In the second half of the album, the atmosphere becomes darker, more immersive, and in some moments, more confrontational.

Subverge – Triox Rudna via Arcane Dirge
This album offers a deeply immersive and cinematic atmosphere, while also featuring remixes by three guest artists: Empusae, Phragments, and Letum. With Triox Rudna, Subverge steps away from a more industrial-driven approach and moves toward a darker, more introspective, and atmospheric soundscape.

Materiæ Abyssu – Aëthÿrinn Na Viixhræ via Zazen Sounds & Dark Odyssey Records
If you’re interested in exploring new genres and experiencing something different, “Aëthÿrinn Na Viixhræ” is a compelling choice. With this release, Materiæ Abyssu presents a markedly different album, blending dark ambient, industrial, and dark wave elements, while introducing the haunting female vocals of Ishtariæ.

Day Before Us – Dim Shores Of Eternity via Les Nouvelles Propagandes
Philippe Blache presents a different range of soundscapes and atmospheres in this release, distinct from his previous album, Tristitiam Et Metus Tradam Portare Ventis. As the title suggests, “Dim Shores of Eternity” tells a story of those who have become part of the eternal.

Born Erased – Birds Drink My Blood via Cyclic Law
“Birds Drink My Blood” moves through a series of shadowed, evolving soundscapes that feel carved from the edges of existence. Born Erased blends cavernous drones, cosmic drift, and harsh textures to create a journey from void to fleeting illumination and back into desolation. The album’s atmosphere constantly shifts between emptiness, fragile emergence, and crushing confinement, ultimately settling into a vast, mournful expanse.

Dodenskald – Tehran
This album represents the gloomy, shadowed side of my hometown, Tehran—its hidden weight, its nocturnal intensity, and its unspoken rituals. The soundscape marks a clear departure from Dodenskald’s previous album, Shams – Al-Ma’arif, embracing a darker, more oppressive atmosphere that feels deeply immersive.

SÍLENÍ – The Lost Themes
This album, with its emotional depth and beautifully layered soundscapes, feels like a journey of ascension—from the hidden realms beneath the sea to the vast, infinite reaches of space. It’s an introspective experience, both haunting and breathtaking, filled with moments of wonder, fear, and quiet revelation.

Xerxes The Dark– Absurd via Zāl Records
In this release, Xerxes The Dark explores the concept of Absurdity, reflecting humanity’s relentless search for meaning in a world ultimately devoid of it. This existential struggle traps us in an endless cycle, where meaning dissolves into nothingness. This album is remarkably cohesive, and I truly enjoyed it because of the meaningful connection between the soundscape, the track titles, and the general concept beyond the “Absurd” itself.
