Benefactor Decease – Abnormal Attachments via Xtreem Music
Benefactor Decease, from Athens, Greece, was formed in 2007 by a close-knit circle of friends with a shared passion for old school thrash metal. After initial demos and a celebrated split CD with Serbian thrashers NADIMAC, the band entered a series of long hiatuses due to internal challenges.
Their debut album Anatomy of an Angel was eventually released in 2015 via Xtreem Music after years of delay.
Now, ten years later, the band returns with a vengeance: Abnormal Attachments is their second full-length and promises to be their most aggressive and technically complex work to date. Combining vintage thrash ferocity with progressive, precision-driven structures, the album marks a powerful resurgence with a refreshed line-up.
Bio:
Benefactor Decease was formed in 2007 by a group of old-school thrashers, by Zissis “Coroner” (Guitarz), Apollo “The Parafiliak” (Bass), Xara “Nasty Vocals”, and Andrew (Drums). In 2008 the 1st demo “Ferocity Of The Dismorphed” was released with a cover by Alex “Polonos” Ststigklier, and after 6 months the 1st EP “Massive Spreads Of Death” by Anger Of Metal (Germany), in a 100 die hard LP limited edition, with Xanthi on vocals replacing Xara.
After several lives, in 2009 the split with Serbian Thrashers “NadimaC” was released by Infernal Kaos records (Seoul), titled “Authorization:Legal Offence”, with Xara returning on vocals.
Due to some personal problems and lack of time in 2010-2012 the band disbanded to be reactivated in 2012 with Baggo “Pgc Coca Colas” Drums – Nick “Chainsaw Murders” (2nd Guitarz) and Panagiotis “Cut-Throat” Toyfexidis on vocals, releasing Anatomy Of Angel by XTREEM Music (Spain) with a cover by Andrei Buzikov in 2015. Due to disagreements, serious family problems and lack of time there was a long inactivity with an immediate return in 2020 when the recordings for Abnormal Attachments began, with Joni “Moas” drums – Kostas “Sarcastic” (2nd guitar) and Dimitris “Deathlike Silencer” (bass). Relatively immediately Kostas “Sarcastic” left the band to focus mainly on his personal project and Apollonas “The Parafiliak” (2nd guitar) returned and he also took over the production of the album. In 2025, Abnormal Attachments was released by XTREEM music (Spain) with a cover by Andrei Buzikov again.
