BAZUndergroundUpdates CCXIX
And we are officially in July! Boy the summer is just flying by, isn’t it? But no matter how fast time flies, our writers Julia Katrin and Tom Osman continue to remember the weekly instalment of The Underground Updates, and this week is no different!
So, let’s see what’s out there…
HYPERDONTIA In case you weren’t there a couple of years ago, you can now watch a few tracks from Hyperdontia´s set at Kill-Town Death Fest 2022 right over here!
HPGD There is one good looking uncle Sam sale going on over at HPGD Productions and keep in mind it expires this coming Sunday, July 7th, so make sure to have quick hands by heading over here, and with no coupon code necessary the 50% discount off all DCs, vinyl and cassettes is applied automatically at checkout!
BLACK LION RECORDS Continuing to clear out as much as possible, Black Lion Records still offers 50% off new titles throughout the month of July using the code blacklion50 at checkout! Head over here right now to check out the goodies!
DUNKELHEIT PRODUKTIONEN Celebrating 17 years in the service of the underground, you can now head over here until the 8th of July to check out the selection at Dunkelheit Produktionen and receive 25% off on Bandcamp using the code 17years!
GATECREEPER Hot on the heels of latest-album Superstition, Arizona’s death-metal unit Gatecreeper have just added limited, colour-vinyl versions of their Sonoran Depravation and Deserted albums on bandcamp. Snap up a copy of either, via the links above. While you’re at it they’ve got a good few t-shirts you can batter into as well.
NON SERVIAM No one makes music quite like Non Serviam and who indeed releases records at such a rate! The latest EP from the anonymous duo of Void & Moon is Labyrinthe — one of the band’s most noise-driven releases. Fans will recognise the ever-present dark, gothic tone, but you can never fully predict the content. What you can rely on is another unique and intense offering from France’s finest anonymous anarchists. Check out the release in full here.
MALCONFORT If you like your metal strange and hard to classify, then you must have a listen to Humanism — the forthcoming debut by anonymous, UK band Malconfort. Due for release this Friday on Transcending Obscurity, the press release says experimental black metal, but you really have to hear this for yourself. Black metal is an aspect, but you could as easily think of this as a trip-hop album (on which a raging demon got trapped in the mixing desk). Click the link to check out the preview tracks and feast on all of the different formats and merch available for this release.
Having to pay gigantic sums for international postage is a real gear grinder. While it’s our default setting to link Bandcamp pages in the case of new and pre-releases, we thought it would be helpful to add some online stores that might provide a useful alternative.
So if you see a release you fancy, but it’s being sold in a far off land and you don’t want to fork out on exorbitant shipping, see if any of the links below can remedy the situation.
