From the depths of the underground music scene comes Wizard Death…., an invigorating force that offers epic doom-infused heavy metal. This exceptional band is a father-son duo consisting of Tim Kenefic and Alex Kenefic who are inspired by dark fantasy realms and spellbinding metal. Their musical style has
been influenced by legendary bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Mercyful Fate along with
literary worlds like the Harry Potter series among other fantastical universes resulting in their distinct blend of mystique combined with weighty power – all epitomized through Wizard Death‘s captivating
performances.

The first demo of three tracks presents an impressive display of Alex’s captivating voice entwined with
the strong compositions created by the Kenefic duo. Of particular note is “I Am the Night”, featuring
Kayla Dixon from Witch Mountain on soaring vocals, intensifying their already potent sound. With help
from founding guitarist Rob Wrong, this hauntingly atmospheric blend incorporates slow thrashy riffs
and high-pitched vocal deliveries reminiscent of Isengard and raw gas station thrash energy.

The musical piece titled “I Am The Night” brings the audience up with its lively blend of forceful riffs,
tightly squeezed harmonics and striking solos, initiating a captivating adventure. Following suit is “Under
The Southern Cross”
, maintaining this momentum with unstoppable power where Alex’s vocals
complement the sophisticated guitar skills resulting in an enchanting tapping solo. Finally, “Slay The
Serpent”
captivates with its homage to Harry Potter starting the song with the infamous quote “YOU’RE
A WIZARD HARRY”, drawing listeners into a realm of doomy riffs that transcends somewhere dark.

Despite the limited number of tracks, Wizard Death‘s tracks leave a lasting impression on metalheads
of all stripes, offering a glimpse into combined genres that were not so popular in the old days. With
each track making a footprint, Wizard Death invites all to experience the magic but I don’t want to spoil
the fun so go, have a listen!! 9/10 Andrei
