#BAZUndergroundUpdates CLXXXVII

3 min read

And we are back again! Halfway through November already, our writers Julia Katrin and Tom Osman are in fact unstoppable with their relentless Underground Updates!

So, let’s see what’s out there…

SUNN O))) This group right here is very excited about their upcoming Shoshin Duo Tour, and they do wonder if you have your tickets yet? On top of all of that however, there is now an ongoing giveaway of two of their original V1 SUNN O)))/Earthquaker Device Life Pedals! All you have to do is to post a screenshot of your secured ticket to one of their upcoming shows on Instagram, tagging @sunnofficial and @earthquakedev to your story! Of course, you need to post it without personal info or QR code, and the winners will be announced on the 21st of November!

THE AMENTA This very week, The Plague of Locus 2023 tour starts, and these will be the last shows for The Amenta for a while! In 2024, they will be focusing on creating new music, so if you want to head out to see them and you happen to be in Australia you should head right over here to secure your ticket!

CYNIC This year Cynic celebrated the 30th anniversary of their landmark debut album and as of right now, they are busy preparing for their next voyage! March will mark the start of this tour; however, it will be no ordinary tour as they will be teaming up with Obscura and Cryptosis! Safe to say this will be an epic experience, and tickets are available now here (where you can also find links to tons of other Cynic content) so make sure you look them up!

SEDER / GALDER have teamed up to release an album of droney, atmospheric black metal to put you right in the centre of a soul-numbing blizzard. Tranquilities II: The Air, The Silence, The Vast Array of Emptiness is available now on Fiadh Productions. Pick up a limited cassette copy here where you can listen to this split release in full.

UNDULATION Once again Italy’s I, Voidhanger Records are offering up extreme sounds the likes of which you’ll be hard pressed to find anywhere else. An Unhealthy Interest in Suffering by Seattle extreme metal unit Undulation has something of Suffering Hour about it (and from around here that’s a very complementary association). Strains of black metal, death metal, abrasive, but memorable riffs and some soul-scraping screams. Get on it! You can listen to the album here and pick up a limited CD copy, due for release on December 15th.

Having to pay gigantic sums for international postage is a real gear grinder.

While it’s our default setting to link Bandcamp pages in the case of new and pre-releases, we thought it would be helpful to add some online stores that might provide a useful alternative.

So if you see a release you fancy, but it’s being sold in a far off land and you don’t want to fork out on exorbitant shipping, see if any of the links below can remedy the situation.

With Christmas just around the corner we hope you keep in mind that these offers, merch, and entertainment are a great way to make someone else happy during the holidays, so make sure you take advantage of it all, even if it may not be just for yourself!
