#BAZUndergroundUpdates CLXXXIII
Never a break! Our writers Julia Katrin and Tom Osman continue to bring forth new instalments of The Underground Updates as each week passes by, and surely this week is no different!
So, let’s see what’s out there…
BLACK ORCHID EMPIRE After having had quite the year, Black Orchid Empire have put the summer festivals behind them as well as the much-deserved victory fall tour in the UK, and are now soon heading out once again since their upcoming 2024 tour has just been announced! Head over here to secure tickets to one of their shows right now!HERETOIR The Heretoir tour is happening soon! Supported by Firtan and Outlaw, the three are heading out in the second part of October so we just wanted to ask if you have secured your ticket yet? Check out the dates here.
BLACK LION RECORDS Some issues appear to have been at play with the discount code during the sale over at Black Lion Records, however, now those issues have been fixed so you can head over here again and get all of your goodies with the code blacklion70!
AKOUPHENOM Time to enter the blackened death metal maelstrom of Akouphenom and their aptly-titled album Death·Chaos·Void (out now on Italy’s Avantgarde Music). You want technicality with raw brutality? Hey ho, let’s go. You can get the album on limited coloured vinyl or CD and listen in full all right here. Also, the dude on the cover seems to have taken a spear through the bum. Rough.
FALSE FED Our beloved Neurot Recordings have just released Let Them Eat Fake, the debut record by False Fed (featuring members of Amebix, Discharge and Ministry — which should give you some idea of what’s in store). Some bleak, grimey, mystical-tinged darkness to get your day off to a grim start (or end!). Get yourself a copy or just listen in full here.
PEINE KAPITAL Word has it that this forthcoming self-titled album by Peine Kapital on the great Sludgelord Records is all kinds of brutal and nihilistic. Well, let’s take a listen to the preview track “Cour Bestiale”. Well, if that track’s anything to go by it certainly will be. If you like slowly crashing, nerve-shredding metallic misanthropy get on it! You can listen here and pre-order a copy.
Having to pay gigantic sums for international postage is a real gear grinder.
While it’s our default setting to link Bandcamp pages in the case of new and pre-releases, we thought it would be helpful to add some online stores that might provide a useful alternative.
So if you see a release you fancy, but it’s being sold in a far off land and you don’t want to fork out on exorbitant shipping, see if any of the links below can remedy the situation.
