#ShortOnes CXXII #UndergroundRecos
Hello there,
Here I am again for my article. Many, but really many releases I had the pleasure to listen to this week. It’s hard to choose just a few, in this case just 3… Anyway… Enjoy your weekend and…
Check my recos…
Band: Cruel Force
Title: Dawn Of The Axe
Label: Shadow Kingdom Records
Release date: 18 August 2023
Country: Germany
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording
And they are back. Yes, after the latest album was released back in 2011, they now have this amazing album. Is fast, is “raw”, is “old” is frenetic, it’s energetic, is a really very good album of Blackened Thrash Speed Metal in my opinion. If you are a fan of Desaster, Nocturnal, Deathhammer, Ketzer, Nifelheim, Manzer, but also Hellish Crossfire or Witching Hour, then this album is for you. But… I have to say this, the old logo was way much better than the one.
Band: Dantalion
Title: Fatum
Label: Non Serviam Records
Release date: 08 September 2023
Country: Galiica (Spain)
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording
I have to start this way, I lost track after the amazing album “Where Fear Is Born”. So, when I saw the promo for this album, it jumped immediately to my “listen to” list. I already had the pleasure to see the band twice in my country and I can say they are very damn good and I also believe these news songs from this very fast, agonizing, filthy, obscure album will be amazing live. Check them asap. They deserve. Thank you for another damn good album.
Band: Face Of Korruption
Title: Demo
Label: Malevolent Sound
Release date: 20 July 2023
Country: USA
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording
Originally released by the name “Dead In The Dirt” in May, it was released again by the label above mentioned by the simple name “Demo”. I admit, not a big fan of Slam mixed with Brutal Death Metal, cause I really don’t like it too much the Slam style. But, this band managed to catch my attention. Four songs, making a total of almost 12 minutes are very well done and the Slam is not the main style on the demo. I can say that is about 50/50 between Slam and Brutal Death Metal here. It was a good listening and now I want to listen to more from this band. Check them.
Don’t forget to support the bands and labels.
