Band: Bastard Grave

Oh yeah, a good damn old-school Death Metal album. Yeahhhhhh. Even if they are from Sweden and the melody can’t deny it, they are not a typical Sweadish Death metal band. Some touches of it and some HM-2 style will be found, yes it’s true, but not as a main focus. And that for me is positive. You can notice other European Death Metal influences, so melody will be always present in the whole album. I really liked the album and I advise you.

And from the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, I had the luck and the pleasure to be more honest to listen to this band from Canada. Old School Death Metal style and sometimes some Blast beats, so this is the modern part of the band. This is the first release of the band and what a demo, to be honest. The songs are rotten, cavernous, sick, and heavy. Some solos remind me of old Gorguts (era Considered Dead and The Erosion Of Sanit). Should Death Metal stay like this? Yes and no, but that is another talk. Check the band. well worth it.

To be honest, I don’t remember the last release I had the pleasure to listen to from this band, I think it was “Abyss Cathedral” but not sure. After that… Lost the track of the band. Sorry. So when I saw the promo, recognised the band’s name and… Voilá, here I’m again listening to the band. It is a good Death Doom Metal. Well, Doom Death Metal is more correct, at least in my opinion. The voice is a very strong one, I like it. If you don’t know the band, check them out. Well worth it.
