#BAZUndergroundUpdates CXLI

3 min read

Tuesday the 20th of December is here! Not really a special date holiday-wise, other than it’s the week of Christmas, but of course we have a brand-new instalment of The Underground Updates today and that makes it sort of special…right?

So, let’s see what’s out there…

AZAGHAL Last week the Finnish black metal group Azaghal had their first official music video Myrkkyä premiered via Immortal Frost Productions which was taken from their upcoming 12th full length album Alttarimme on Luista Tehty! Scheduled for the release on February 24th next year, you can now get a jump start and listen to the first track right over here! After which of course, you must head over here and place your pre-order!

VIA NOCTURNA This week is the last chance to take advantage of the mass x-mass sale over at Via Nocturna! The offer gives us a 50% discount on orders over 50 euros with the code nox50 and a 25% discount on all other orders, no limits, with the code nox25! Head over here to check out their merch shop!

METALHIT A very happy holiday greetings from Metalhit that are offering us a 50% discount off all purchases up until Christmas Eve! Head over here to check out the selection and use the code holiday!

THE CALLOUS DAOBOYS With us not being entirely sure of the locations, we would still like to point out that next year The Callous Daoboys will be heading out on a tour alongside D.R.U.G.S., Varials and 156/Silence! Make sure you keep an eye open for further information!

DUNKELHEIT PRODUKTIONEN Want to go to a fabulous even in a year? Dunkelheit Produktionen has now announced the Rituals over Limburg, which apparently is a two-day event of pure sonic Alchemy and Magick featuring the Who is Who of contemporary Ritual Industrial! Sounds good, right? Well, you may want to have fast hands because the tickets are limited to just 200, and so it´s probably best to get your ticket as soon as possible! The event will be held in the Netherlands, directly and close to the German border, and you can check out tickets over here and here!

SULPHUR NURSE In celebration of the 40th anniversary of John Carpenter’s The Thing comes an EP of the same name by Sulphur Nurse, via Trepanation Recordings. Batten down the hatches for four extended tracks of brooding, dark, experimental noise and atmospherics. Just the ticket for the Christmas season! Listen to the release in full here.

71TONMAN Another forthcoming release from Transcending Obscurity Records means a smorgasbord of special editions and merch. The latest announcement is Of End Times by Poland’s Sludge/Doom Metal unit 71TonMan. The album is due for release on the 3rd of March 2023. In the meantime head over here to listen to the two preview tracks and pre-order the album.

Having to pay gigantic sums for international postage is a real gear grinder.

While it’s our default setting to link Bandcamp pages in the case of new and pre-releases, we thought it would be helpful to add some online stores that might provide a useful alternative.

So if you see a release you fancy, but it’s being sold in a far off land and you don’t want to fork out on exorbitant shipping, see if any of the links below can remedy the situation.
