#ShortOnes LXXIX #UndergroundRecos

Hello there,

And here I’m again. The second Saturday of October… This year is passing so fast, soon we will be at the end of the year and we didn’t notice the months passing by. But… If I still have my metal, I will be ok.

Check my recos…

Band: Adaga
Title: Nas Ruínas Do Ser
Label: Altare Productions
Release date: 14 October 2022
Country: Portugal
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

If you are looking for info about this band… Null info. Another “Top Secret” band from the Portuguese Black Metal scene, that is normally moved by the same people and sometimes appears, new ones… Anyway… If you know the label you already what to expect. Yes, Raw Black Metal with full of negativity and hatred. The band is good, and the undistorted guitar gives a different approach and a good touch. Check it. It worth it.

Band: Æþelruna (Aethelruna)
Title: Risci Bita Wudu
Label: Independent
Release date: 10 October 2022
Country: UK (England)
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

So damn good. I love when music transmits feelings. In this case harmony in the epic and atmospheric moments, melody and ear pleasant in the mid-tempo parts, and the folk parts makes you travel… Reminds me a bit of Temnozor or Nokturnal Mortum or Skyforger. The mix is well done and I did enjoy this album and the good music released.

Band: Black Math Horseman
Title: Black Math Horseman
Label: Profound Lore Records
Release date: 21 October 2022
Country: USA
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

The last release from this band was in 2009… And yes, I didn’t know them until I listened to this album. The album only has one song and it’s divided it 4 parts but on the promo that I got, I have the 4 parts divided. What the band is playing? Well, It did remind me of a few things, Agalloch for example, with the atmosphere surrounding it, Ancestors with the progressive touch, and the vocals fit very well. I mean, the kind of classic way of singing, but at the same time not so classic. I admit that is an album that I will not listen to regularly, but when I do it, I know I will listen to a lot of quality.

Band: Brotthogg
Title: Epicinium
Label: Independent
Release date: 01 October 2022
Country: Norway
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

An interesting thing in this band. One guy does all the instruments, and then the vocals are shared by two other guys. Yes. That is true. The band plays a mix of Melodic Death Metal with some Thrash Metal and with some Black Metal. Nothing new till now, I have to admit that, but I have to admit too, that what the band is playing is very done, and deserves the attention. At least in my opinion.

Don’t forget to support the bands and labels.
