Hello there,

And voilá… July arrived. Yep, half of the year is already gone and the other half… Is starting…
Vacations for some, for others, not… For some, fun, for others, work… But… At least we have our beloved METAL music.

Check my few recos…

Band: Hellevaerder
Title: In de nevel van afgunst
Label: Zwaertgevegt
Release date: 01 June 2022
Country: Netherlands
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

This young band that started in 2018, I mean the first release, already gave me some reasons to continue to listen to their music. And this album? I will not say the confirmation, cause, I already had, but the reconfirmation. Nothing new, not a superb and magnificent band but, the music is good. Check them.

Band: Nubivagant
Title: The Wheel and the Universe
Label: Amor Fati Productions
Release date: 21 June 2022
Country: Italy
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

I love surprises when good… Of course. Who doesn’t? The first album from this one-man band was… Hmmm… Not bad, but also not a good album, but, I decided, that, when the second album or release would be released, I would give a listen. Well… I did. Is better in my opinion. It’s more raw, more “sick”. More “mature”… Hmmm. I think that is the best word to describe it. Even if the person behind the band is well known in many many many other bands and he knows how to play and create very good Black Metal.

Band: Vulnificus
Title: Invocation
Label: Independent
Release date: 10 June 2022
Country: USA
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

The name of the band caught my attention and I tried to remember, or try to be sure again, what was correct. A disease or the cause of the same. I gave up (way of saying), and I looked. Ahahahahah… Now the music… Even if the guitar sounds a bit “weak” (at least in this style, I feel, like, think, that is way better a more strong distortion sound) and sometimes looks like the notes are the same, just played in a different tempo. The EP has and is a good release. Ok, I tried to fix the equalization in my stereo, for better sound, I think I managed, cause after a few listenings, I like the release, and if you are in the Brutal Death Metal style, this is for you.

Band: Winds of Tragedy
Title: As Life Drifts Away
Label: Belfry Records
Release date: 17 June 2022
Country: Chile
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

When I saw some people sharing about this album on social media, I remember saying to myself (Yes, I speak with myself) “I have this album on my MUST listen to list. It arrived, unfortunately after the official release date. What do we have here? A very good release in my opinion. Musically Black Metal without a doubt with Doom Metal, and a good one. The voice… Not bad, no way. But is not a Black Metal one. And I’m divided (a bit) if more related to Doom or Death Metal in a classic way. But at the same time, is a Black Metal way of sing but stronger and deep as the Doom Metal voice. Anyway, doesn’t matter. In my opinion, of course. What matters, is that you need to listen to this album.

Don’t forget to support the bands and labels.
