The first week of February appears to have passed by without much trouble, and our writers Julia Katrin and Tom Osman continue their efforts to weekly bring us the news of entertainment and offers to pass time until restrictions lift, and we can finally see each other again!

IMMORTAL FROST PRODUCTIONS Last Thursday Immortal Frost Productions premiered the official music video for the track Geäst by the Austrian depressive black metal band Lichtblick taken from their upcoming full length album Abkehr scheduled to be released on the 25th of February 2022. VALBORG It may be a new year, but it’s definitely still winter over here in Europe. That cold, bleak atmosphere is delivered in spades by Germany’s Valborg. Ten years after it’s initial release, the band’s fourth album Nekrodepression has been given a limited vinyl pressing for the first time. Head over here to listen to the album in all it’s death/doom/crust glory. Meanwhile, vinyl copies are available here and you can check out various merch for the band here.
THE SPIRIT Mixing black and death metal style with progressive elements, Germany’s The Spirit, are set to release their new album Of Clarity and Galactic Structures on AOP Records on April 1st. The follow up to the band’s 2020 release Cosmic Terror, you can pre-order the forthcoming album here on limited vinyl and CD, and there’s a nifty looking boxset option if you’re feeling fancy. You can also whet your appetite with a preview track from the album.
LVA Italy’s LVA originally unleashed their second full-length dose of blood curdling black metal back in 2020 Ας αρχισει η τελετη. Now throats.productions and Ascension Records are putting the album out on some delicious looking vinyl editions. You can pick up a copy here and here and listen to the album in full.
Having to pay gigantic sums for international postage is a real gear grinder. While it’s our default setting to link bandcamp pages in the case of new and pre-releases, we thought it would be helpful to add some online stores that might provide a useful alternative.
