#ShortOnes XLIV #UndergroundRecos

Hello there,

Another week is gone and the weekend arrived. Time to relax a bit, when possible of course. And music is the best company to my ears. Hope you enjoy the recos I brought to you.

Band: Bestiality
Title: Sacrificial Chants
Label: Invictus Productions
Release date: 25 February 2022
Country: Sweden
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

When I got this promo I thought “They returned?”, I mean, I thought that I would listen to the new release from the Polish band, but was not… Instead of it, I’m listening to one band that is being around there since 2013 (first release) and I didn’t know them. These guys from Sweden bring to my ears a very powerful and good Black Thrash Metal. The only problem is that is only one EP. But a very good one. I want more.

Band: Mystic Circle
Title: Mystic Circle
Label: Atomic Fire Records
Release date: 04 February 2022
Country: Germany
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

Not so Underground but… After a long period of silence, returning last year with a 7″ release, Mystic Circle is back with a very good Melodic Black Metal that they get us used to. But this album has more. Some Death Metal touches here and there, not too much to be honest. Is a good album, very well achieve, with very good passages. Will be an album that I will listen to many times.

Band: Pure Wrath
Title: Hymn to the Woeful Hearts
Label: Debemur Morti Productions
Release date: 18 February 2022
Country: Indonesia
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

I remember many years ago that from Indonesia what we could listen to was Death Metal, some Thrash and very little Heavy Metal, and even less, some Black Metal. Nowadays, some bands are coming from that country and they do very good Black Metal. Pure Wrath is one of those bands. I’m really happy that I could listen to this very good band. Check them.

Band: Syvyj Yar
Title: Золотые нити (Golden Threads)
Label: Avantgarde Music
Release date: 11 February 2022
Country: Russia
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

Golden Threads is a journey into music. A perfect journey to be in the middle of the countryside away from the human plague, feeling the wind on the face, seeing beautiful landscapes, and an amazing soundtrack on the ears. The band always moved inside the Folk/Pagan mixed with the Black Metal but in the past was more “Folky”, more “Slavic” (I mean the traditional Slavic songs), but is this album, nothing at all, and no Black Metal music at all too. You need to listen to this.

Don’t forget to support the bands and labels.
