#ShortOnes XXXVIII #UndergroundRecos
Hello there,
Music this week made me travel to a lot of places, mind, feelings, wishes, from one division of the house to another division too, and of course, to know more bands. But like always I can’t mention everything. Well, to be honest, I could. I would do a simple article, putting the name of the band and album, the image of the release, and link to their stream platforms. Done. I could do it, but… Would looking, just “I wrote and mention, bla bla” Nah. Not for me. So in this case… Only a few mention. Sorry to the ones I can’t mention. So let me start…
Band: Clouds
Title: Despărțire
Label: Personal Records / GS Productions / Cold Art Industry
Release date: 03 December 2021
Country: England / Romania
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording
Originally released by the band, after that released digitally by Personal Records & GS Productions and after that on CD format by Personal Records & Cold Art Industry. The music. If you already know the band, well, you can expect another good release. If not, well, I can say to all of you that the band is moving inside the Doom Death, sometimes Funeral Doom with plenty of atmosphere around it. It’s a good release that you must listen to. At least in my opinion. You can find several influences inside the Death Doom and Funeral Doom worlds. Check them.
Band: Furze
Title: Black Psych Tormentor
Label: Apocalyptic Empire Records (Cd & Vinyl) / Katakomben (Purple and Black tape) / Blodbuse (Red tape and Black tape)
Release date: 10 December 2021
Country: Norway
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording
Here I present you (if that could be possible) Furze. One band from Norway that I had the pleasure to know a long time ago and in my opinion always an underrated band and a band of love or hate. Or you Love it or you hate it. There is no middle term. Why I’m saying this? quite simple in my opinion. To start the band always played what they wanted and they, well, he, never played like the other bands. Furze is unique, is different, it’s experimental, no boundaries. I always saw the band this way, and cause of that and of course because of the music, I have been following the band a little before the second was out, so maybe in 2002. Check it.
Band: Detest
Title: We Will Get What We Deserve
Label: Emanzipation Productions
Release date: 10 December 2021
Country: Denmark
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording
It is only me thinking about that, or it’s really true? In the last 2 or 3 years many, but many bands from this country are appearing. Well, not me thinking of that of course, cause the proves are out there and you can check it. Of course that some still exist, some from the 80s, some from the 90s’, some from the 00s’ and some from 10s’ beginnings, but the majority are young bands or projects. Detest… In what situation do we have this band? Old but also new. What? Yes, that. They started in 1990 and they split up in 1996, then in 2013, they returned. Even if in the past I was introduced to many many bands cause one friend of mine had in the past a radio show, this band is totally known for me. And… Checking one band that appeared in 1990 and only after 31 years I’m listening to the band for the first time… Is a bit… Yes, I’m thinking in some bad words… Ahahahah. But it doesn’t matter. The band plays a good Death Metal and for me, that is all that matters. A band to pay attention to. Check it.
Don’t forget to support the bands and labels.
