Is it just our writers Julia Katrin and Tom Boatman who feel like it is becoming a bit chilly out there, or do our readers also feel like fall is crawling upon us? Well, that´s just another reason to stay at home and read about upcoming metal events and offers, isn’t it?
So, let’s see what’s out there…
THE RILEY GALE FOUNDATION Last year, the world suffered the loss of Power Trip´s Riley Gale, and while his friends and family as well as we all continue to grieve, they also promised to continue the great man´s legacy of doing good for others so now The Riley Gale Foundation is officially launching with the first annual Riley Gale & Friends Day Vol. 1, taking place on august 25t at Deep Ellum Art Co. in Dallas, TX. The event is the first of many and everyone is invited. GATECREEPER Having originally released their album An Unexpected Reality earlier this year, Hardcore infused Death Metal group Gatecreeper have now released several limited colour vinyl editions of the album on Closed Casket Activities. Head over to bandcamp to check them out and to listen to the album.
PORTRAYAL OF GUILT/ CHAT PILE Hardcore/Sludge noise merchants Portrayal of Guilt have teamed up with Chat Pile for a very cool limited vinyl release. One edition of the vinyl is already all gobbled up, but there’s red/white splatter edition you can pick up here.
NUUMMITE Due for release on September 1st on Trepanation Recordings, Celestial Triarchy is the debut full-length from Czechia’s Nuummite. Categorising themselves along the lines of Pelican and ISIS, you can pre-order the album on limited colour vinyl here and listen to the two preview tracks.
DOLD VORDE ENS NAVN Featuring past and present members of such Black Metal luminaries as Ulver and Satyricon, Dold Vorde Ens Navn will release their debut full-length on Prophecy Productions on November 12th. You can pre-order the album on vinyl, CD and a special Book/CD version here where you can also listen to the preview track.
