Short Ones XII #UndergroundRecos

Hello there,

Number XII… Yep… And for today I bring to you the following discoveries that I made during this week.

Hope you can enjoy my choices for today.

Band: Forelunar
Title: Forlorn in Despair
Label: Independent
Release date: 07 May 2021
Country: Iran
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

I have to be honest in one thing, from Iran I only know a very few bands and mainly of those, are no longer existing or already outside of the home country. From what I found about this one-man-band still in Iran and the Atmospheric Black Metal made is very good in my opinion. With a lot of classical touches here and there, opera sing style. Sound very good. It’s a band to follow imo.

Band: Au Clair de Lune
Title: Au Clair de Lune
Label: Goat Room
Release date: 31 May 2021
Country: Italy
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

First release from this Italian band and this a journey between ambient music mixed and and Blackgaze. I still dont know why but Blackgaze still looks to be like a rock band playing Black Metal, But that is another talk and strange idea that I have in my messed brain. lol. Talking about the band, even if is not a style that I listen to much (Blackgaze), this band managed to catch me, and in my opino you should check it

Band: Nachtmaar
Title: Forever Night
Label: Hexenkult
Release date: 26 April 2021
Country: Switzerland
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

Well… This band from Switzerland is only for lovers of raw Black Metal. If you don’t like it, well, you are missing a very good release in my opinion. They are raw, fast, primitive at the same time (but in good meaning), and well worth listening to this duo from Switzerland.

Band: Domkirke av Plager
Title: Loathsome Hums
Label: Independent
Release date: 05 May 2021
Country: Slovakia
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

The latest release from this Slovakian band. To many, the music played by this band or one-man band (couldn’t find info about it) is just noise and understandable. Well, to be honest, I don’t know many persons who like this kind of music. Dark Ambient is what they play. The sounds that come from my stereo are strange, harsh, claustrophobic, agonizing, torturous but I really love it. Check them.

Don’t forget to support the bands and labels.
