Short Ones – VIII – #UndergroundRecos

Hello there,

This time I went to some travel inside the YouTube. Not my favourite stream platform to be honest. Far of it. But…
Well, my opinion about YouTube will be another talk… So let me talk about some bands , some that I already knew, others that were a good discovering… Let me start with some…

Band: Lóstregos
Title: Onde Calan os Corazóns, Ruxen as Pedras
Label: Damnatio ad Bestias
Release date: 30 April 2021
Country: Galicia (Spain)
Format reviewed: Stream

Lóstregos… I really love the band. I have the two first releases, so when I saw the video of this band, it was immediately a must press the play button. I also already had the pleasure to see them live and play live on the same stage as them. Very good band. But talking about this band… The Black Metal played is very good in my opinion. Very catchy and interesting. I need to physical format. eheheheh

Band: Odal
Title: Welten Mutter
Label: Eisenwald
Release date: 23 April 2021
Country: Germany
Format reviewed: Stream

This band… I LOVE all the releases I have of them. Demos, split, albums, EP. There are better releases than others of course, but there is not even one release that I say “I don’t like”. This band always released (till now) very good Black Metal. If you dont know them, check it.

Band: Hymnr
Title: Far Beyond Insanity
Label: Saturnal Records
Release date: 23 April 2021
Country: Russia
Format reviewed: Stream

Like I said once or twice, in the last years Russia is releasing very good Black Metal. Mainly in the Atmospheric style.
In this case, they are not inside the mentioned style, but inside the more “traditional” one. Very good. The songs are so damn good, melodic, well structured, etc. Check them.

Band: Vargaskri
Title: Hyllningskväden
Label: Independent
Release date: 18 April 2021
Country: Sweden
Format reviewed: Stream

Bumm… Uh la la. This band is good. A very good discovering. Some keys here and there remind a bit of the bands at the beginning of the 90s’ playing Symphonic Black Metal, but not exaggerated. Just giving a good feeling. And the mix, between the acoustic parts and the aggressivity of the Black Metal. I did enjoy it. A lot. Check them.

Don’t forget to support the bands and labels.
