Short Ones – III – #UndergroundRecos
For today I decided to do a special article dedicated to the label Slovak Metal Army and grabbed 4 albums released last month. The label does not dedicate to just one music style inside our metal world. Some I liked more others a bit less. But it was a positive hearing and listening to several tastes.
I really hope you enjoy it. Check it.
Band: Anime Torment
Title: Void Terror
Label: Slovak Metal Army
Release date: 25 February 2021
Country: Czechia
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording
Anime Torment… I have to be honest in one thing, they play one style inside the Metal world that simply doesn’t say anything to me, yes, it is Deathcore. And… If I didn’t decide to do this article dedicated to the label mentioned above, the band will pass for me (for sure) and it would be one band that I would not have knowledge of. Even if the style of the same is not in my world of music taste, I heard it and I have some words to say. The band is good, the band knows how to play and do good music and I only liked the Death Metal moments. The rest… Well, sorry, but not my cup of tea and I will not comment. Even so… Check them.
Band: Innersphere
Title: Omfalos
Label: Slovak Metal Army
Release date: 25 February 2021
Country: Czechia
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording
Innersphere… They don’t bring anything new to the world of Melodic Death Metal. But still, they do very good music. I really enjoyed listening to this album. Sometimes, here and there I could listen to some Thrash Metal influences. The mix is well done by the way. Congratulations.
Band: Performed
Title: Moronia
Label: Slovak Metal Army
Release date: 25 February 2021
Country: Slovakia
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording
From the four bands that I decided to write a few lines, Performed was the band that I liked more. A very good and powerful Thrash Metal, reminding me a lot of old Testament, some Xentrix here and there, and a bit of Defiance (USA). This album played a lot on my stereo. Good album.
Band: The Split
Title: Reminiscences
Label: Slovak Metal Army
Release date: 25 February 2021
Country: Czechia
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording
The big surprise from all 4 bands. I don’t know why but when I looked at the cover I thought of a Funeral Doom band. I was totally wrong. The band is moving inside the progressive and sometimes if I can say experimental world. The mix is not bad, to be honest. Good details and very well-structured songs.
Don’t forget to support the bands and labels.
