BAZ Friday LXI – Underground Reco For Underground Maniacs
And booommmm… The last Friday of this month. Like I said, time flies. I didn’t want to mention this… This, world situation, this damn virus, and as a result, unfortunately there are no concerts, which we love so much. But I notice that, there are much more releases then the previous year. Hmmm… It’s is the way we have to “fight” it and have more “strength” to go on? Well, everyone have his own way to do it. To me it helped a lot. So let me end the crappy talk and check my recos for today… Just stay safe out there.
Band: Dephosphorus
Title: Sublimation
Label: 7Degrees Records (EU-Vinyl), Selfmadegod Records (EU-CD), Nerve Altar Records (US-Vinyl)
Release date: 07 September 2020
Country: Greece
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording
Greece in my opinion is a country that has plenty of good damn bands. Not mention the mainstream bands. I always been a “follower” especially the Hellenic Black Metal and them unique way to do things. But I also love the other styles and the Death Metal is also strong there. So now can imagine the mix of both played in the Greek way mixed with some Grind? Well, if you do… This is for you. Listen to this band and support them.

Title: From The Abyss
Label: Blood Blast Distribution
Release date: 04 September 2020
Country: Colombia
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording
From Colombia arrived at me this promo. Thank you to Dewar PR for that. And I listened to a very good album of Melodic Death Metal. Remind me a lot at the beginning of the ’90s with tons of Melodic Death Metal bands out there. It was a very good surprise including the track number 6 that sounds a bit of Power Metal mixed with Melodic Death Metal.

Band: Ewigkeit
Title: XXIII
Label: Death To Music Productions
Release date: 23 September 2020
Country: England
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording
When I got this promo I remembered the name of the name and I checked my private collection and I found some CDs that I have of them. But… Damn… Is this the same band? Well, yes it is. The past they were Experimental Black Metal band, but now they are a… Hmmm… A 70’s Rock/Metal band?!?!? It’s true that I lost track and a long time I didn’t hear anything, but I really love the music they are doing. You need to check it.

Band: Soulwound
Title: The Suffering
Label: Inverse Records
Release date: 11 September 2020
Country: Finland
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording
Inverse Records in my humble opinion has plenty of quality and they try to release only good quality. Soulwound is now and their own roaster and they have quality. Do you want an aggressive Thrash Death Metal and feel your head moving and you can’t stop. Well, then this album is for you.
