BAZ Friday XLVII – Underground Reco For Underground Maniacs

Well… This week has been a very busy one. Always running and no time to rest. But still, I managed to listen to some good music and were is some of those good releases I listened… Hope You enjoy it…

Band: Protosequence
Title: A Blunt Of Something Obscene
Label: Lacerated Enemy Records
Release Date: 19 May 2020
Country: Canada
Format Reviewed: Digital Promo

Moving inside the Technical Death Metal with a bit of core in my opinion, this band managed to create some good songs. Even if is not my music style I really enjoy listening to this album. Interesting details on the songs, good riffs, very good drum work caught my attention. Listen to them.

Band: Afterperception
Title: Blades Over Despondency
Label: Cult of Osiris
Release Date: 01 June 2020
Country: USA
Format Reviewed: Digital Promo

Not much info about this band except that is a solo project from founding member and vocalist of Perpetual Suffering and this album is the fourth release (if you count, that the previous releases are just single songs). And what you will listen to here? Well, if you are a raw Black Metal fan this is for you. Nothing new, beware of that, just “simple” and old school raw Black Metal and sometimes I can say that some Doom touches or influences. Check them.

Band: Obscene
Title: The Inhabitable Dark
Label: Blood Harvest Records
Release Date: 15 May 2020
Country: USA
Format Reviewed: Digital Promo

Featuring with ex-members from many bands, some I know, others I never heard about (just being honest) and with members of some bands like Summon the Destroyer or Demiricous this band releases the second offering to the metal world. It’s a good Old School Death Metal that you should give a listen… Or more.

Band: The Third Eye Rapists
Title: Deathtrip Transcendence / Magicians of the Holocaust
Label: Amor Fati Productions
Release Date: 17 May 2020
Country: Sweden
Format Reviewed: Digital Promo

First of all, this is not a new release from this Sweadish band but with a compilation on LP format from both releases unleashed in 2017. Is a well worth grab LP format. The Black Metal made by these guys is really good. Grab one copy before is to late.
