Atlanta Georgia’s Thrashing old school Death metal gang MURDER VAN formed in March of 2018 when three longtime friends reunited. MURDER VAN line up is Skraw Tharp – Guitars and Vocals, DeathRay – Bass, Damager – Drums. Their common history dates back to 1993 and the trio quickly began writing songs. Murder Van’s blend of Thrash and Old School Death Metal is derived from all the influences the band mention to have inspired them – SLAYER, DEATH, CARCASS, DESTRUCTION, SODOM, KREATOR, DEMOLITION HAMMER, CANNIBAL CORPSE, PESTILENCE etc.

In June 2018 the trio entered Blue Ogre Noise Lab to begin recording. Over the following months MURDER VAN played several shows around the Atlanta area. The band shared the stage with various touring acts such as Perpetual Warfare (Columbia South America), Deathcrown (Richmond VA), Oculum Dei (Charlotte NC) and recently an Atlanta date opening for Florida Metal legends NASTY SAVAGE.

MURDER VAN will release their self-titled debut album on 6 December 2019. The information we got is that the album was produced by Tommy Stewart (HALLOWS EVE, Tommy Stewart’s Dyer Wolf) at Blue Ogre Noise Lab and Mastered by Alex Parra (PALADIN, Sadistic Ritual) at Second Sight Sound. Now we have the pleasure to premiere MURDER VAN’s first single from the album via the below stream – the song entitled “Green River (Dead Hookers)”. It is based on Green River serial killer Gary Ridgeway. It is raw, old school and definitely will please the lovers of thrash/death genre which we all love from the late 80s!
