Forsaken Age have fired the opening salvo from their forthcoming album Blackened Steel with the release of their brand-new single “War Machine”, accompanied by an official music video, out today.
“War Machine” sets the tone for what promises to be the band’s darkest and most extreme release to date. Relentless, aggressive and steeped in the brutal machinery of conflict, the track delivers a first glimpse into the sinister world of Blackened Steel.

The new single explores warfare as something far greater than the clash of armies. It embodies the entire industrial apparatus of conflict, the commanders, the armour, the weapons and the devastating mobilisation of humanity towards destruction.
“With Blackened Steel, we’re descending into more extreme and sinister territory. War Machine is just the beginning of that descent,” Lee adds.
For Chrissy, the track captures the timeless and horrifying nature of conflict, spanning centuries and imagined futures alike.
“War Machine is the industrial, unforgiving truth of conflict across the ages, from medieval sieges to post-apocalyptic ash. It’s not just the steel on the battlefield, but the entire terrifying apparatus: the generals, the armour, and the absolute mobilisation of death. This is the intensity of war personified, roaring at breakneck speed towards a cold, dark aftermath.”
The official music video provides the visual counterpart to that vision, bringing the destructive force of “War Machine” to life and reinforcing the song’s themes of conflict, devastation and the relentless march towards an unforgiving aftermath.
