Ereboros unleashes third single “At The Gallows of Doom” ahead of upcoming album, set for release in October
The upcoming album from Brazilian death metal band Ereboros is now less than two months away, and the band have just released another single, the third from the record.
“At The Gallows of Doom” portrays the life of someone condemned to misery, exclusion, and suffering from birth, as if their fate had already been decided before they ever had the chance to choose their own path. The “gallows of doom” symbolizes this inescapable destiny, while the song explores themes of despair, social inequality, isolation, and the struggle for a freedom that always seems just out of reach. Ultimately, it paints a bleak picture of an existence defined by the feeling of being trapped in a fate from which there is no escape.
The band has already shared two singles:
1st single: In The Depths of Misery
2nd single: Progenies of the Unseen
Born from real-life experiences, “From Oblivion to The Grave” dives into suffering, anxiety, disillusionment, and the struggle to find meaning in the middle of chaos. Many of the lyrics were shaped by difficult moments faced by vocalist Thiago Barbosa and drummer Victor Mendonça, transforming personal pain into something honest, confrontational, and deeply expressive.
Musically, the album brings together crushing riffs, relentless aggression, and suffocating atmospheres, balanced by melodic passages that give the songs greater emotional weight without taking away from their intensity.
