Following the devastating impact of the first advance track, MEGASCAVENGER now unveils “Shallow Grave Overflow”, the 2nd single taken from the upcoming album “Toxic Noxious Undeath”, this time accompanied by an official lyric video and featuring special guest vocals by Dave Rotten (AVULSED).
Once again driven by the tireless creativity of Rogga Johansson, this new track delivers another descent into the depths of dark and putrid Swedish Death Metal, combining crushing riffs, morbid atmospheres, and devastating heaviness that connects directly with the genre’s most classic essence.
or this new dose of decay, Rogga has assembled a true legion of cult vocalists, each vomiting their own infection onto an exclusive track. Among the names featured in this parade of rot are Kam Lee (Massacre), Erik Rundqvist (Vomitory), Dave Ingram (Benediction), Max Otero (Mercyless), Dave Rotten (Avulsed), Felix Stass (Crematory-swe), Michael H. Andersen (Thorium), Silvester Koorevaar (Fondlecorpse), Jan Bergmann Jepsen (Maceration) and Peter Svensson (Void Moon).
Is there ever enough filthy, rotten Death Metal drenched in horror themes? MEGASCAVENGER certainly doesn’t think so, and that’s exactly why they return with “Toxic Noxious Undeath”, the band’s sixth full-length assault.
MEGASCAVENGER has been lurking in the underground since 2012, and throughout every album, Rogga Johansson has gathered an impressive cast of guests from some of the most prominent names in Death Metal. Legends from Master, Asphyx, Avulsed, Grave, Edge of Sanity, Massacre and Benediction, among many others, have all left their mark on MEGASCAVENGER’s first four albums: “Descent of Yuggoth” (2012), “At the Plateaus of Leng” (2014), “As Dystopia Beckons” (2016), and “Boneyard Symphonies” (2019).
In early 2020, MEGASCAVENGER signed with Xtreem Music for the release of their 5th album, “Songs in the Key of Madness”, which saw the light in August of the same year. Six years later, Rogga has sculpted a new deformity entitled “Toxic Noxious Undeath”, once again dragging listeners into a world of rotten riffs, horror-soaked atmospheres, and pure old-school Death Metal decay.
For this new work, the artwork was created by Lucretia Morti, who has already left her unmistakable mark on bands such as Ribspreader, Avulsed, Putrevore and Paganizer, among many others.
