Talst – Sewn Into The Infinite Sky via Winter Light by Pegah

The Dutch dark ambient label Winter-Light has announced its upcoming release, “Sewn Into The Infinite Sky” by Talst, which is the solo project of Chicago-based sound artist Rob Meldrum. Scheduled for release on January 16, the album comprises six tracks.

According to the label’s Bandcamp page: “while still rooted in blackened ambience, this new material delves deeper into immersive drones and horror-tinged, long-form passages, unfolding with a chilling and oppressive intensity throughout the record”.

“Talst makes a welcome return with his second Winter-Light release ‘Sewn Into The Infinite Sky’, bringing his own distinctive take on dark ambience.

On ‘Sewn Into The Infinite Sky’, Rob Meldrum presents six expansive compositions; longer and more immersive than those on his debut release, Celestial Displacement.

While still rooted in blackened ambience, this new material leans further into deep drones and horror-tinged, long-form passages, deployed to chilling effect throughout the release.

A must for lovers of horror-infused science-fiction soundtracks.
