Cogadh from Canada announces Kingmaker to be released on March 6th, 2026

Black metal band COGADH are set to release debut album ‘KINGMAKER. ’ The album pushes the band’s established boundaries of traditional but melodic black metal by incorporating a variety of vocal styles and acoustic folk instruments. 

COGADH is a two-man group that hails from Ontario and Quebec, with Ira handling both guitars and bass while Alex takes on the drums and vocals.  The duo formed the band in 2021 and quickly released their debut EP, ‘Runetongue,’ in 2022. The group has performed live across Ontario and Quebec with the help from guest musicians, with plans to reach new lands in the future. 

‘KINGMAKER,’ walks a different path to the typical framework of black metal through the use of Irish whistles, accordion, and atmospheric sound effects recorded in the woods of Quebec.
