WHEN THE DEADBOLT BREAKS Decibel Magazine hosted the exclusive premiere of the track Burning Zozobra which is the newest single from Connecticut-based avant-sludge metal outfit When the Deadbolt Breaks, taken from their upcoming tenth album In the Glow of the Vatican Fire! All in order to celebrate the band´s 20th anniversary in 2025, you can head straight over here right now to check out the track, and of course over here to place your album pre-order, scheduled for a release via Argonauta Records this coming Friday!
IOWHEAVEN Toronto post-metal conjurors Iowheaven have unveiled their latest single, Mercy Death, which comes by way of the band´s Ritual Decay debut full-length, set for a release on August 29th! MALTHUSIAN Dublin-based death metallers Malthusian have signed with Relapse Records, and have announced their upcoming deathly opus, The Summoning Bell, set for a release on August 8th and on top of that all the band has also unveiled a video for the title track! IN THE COMPANY OF SERPENTS Now playing at Decibel Magazine, the new track A Patchwork Art by Denver sludge/doom metal outfit In the Company of Serpents is available to check out right over here, and keep in mind that the track comes by way of the band´s A Crack in Everything full-length, set for a release on July 11th, for which you can place your pre-order over here!
BEFORE THE DAWN Finnish melodic death metal giants Before the Dawn will be releasing their new studio album Cold Flare Eternal on September 5th via Reaper Entertainment, however last Friday they unveiled the latest single Stellar Effect, and its accompanying video, which you can check out right over here, and of course don’t forget to head over here afterwards to place your album pre-order!

ENTHEOS Progressive death metal project Entheos are very pleased to announce their first ever North American headlining tour! The month-long journey begins on October 30th in New Orleans, Louisiana, and runs through December 6th in Nashville, Tennessee! Support will be provided by Fallujah, The Zenith Passage and Tracheotomy, and tickets are already available so make sure you head over here right now to claim some to a show near you!
REVOCATION Now this one is pretty big! Technical death metal architects Revocation will be releasing their new full-length New Gods, New Masters on September 26th via Metal Blade Records, for which you can head over here to place your pre-order, and in addition they have in advance of the record´s release unveiled the first single Cronenberged along with its accompanying video which you can check out over here! But that’s not all! Following the album release, Revocation will kick off a month-long North American headlining tour, beginning on October 16th in Leesburg, Virginia and running through November 15th in Raleigh, North Carolina! Support will be provided by Judiciary, Inferi and Vomit Forth, and you can head over here to see all confirmed dates and tickets!

NOVEMBERS DOOM Returning to the fold with their 12th studio album (and first since 2019’s Nephilim Grove) Chicago, Illinois death-doom unit Novembers Doom will release Major Arcana on Prophecy Productions on the 19th of September. Listen to the album’s title track here where you can pre-order the album on a variety of CD, vinyl and bundle options.
NEW WORLD DEPRESSION How about a nice slab of old-school death metal from Germany? New World Depression will release their latest album Abysmal Void (following Interment of Sins from 2023) on the 19th of September through Testimony Records. You can listen to the album’s opening track here. From the same link you can check out all the tasty versions of the album available to buy: CD, vinyl, coloured vinyl and special bundle packages.
HEADLESS KROSS / POUND LAND Some doomy, sludgy monstrosity comes your way via Cruel Nature Records and the forthcoming split from Glasgow’s Headless Kross and Manchester’s Pound Land. The split is available on limited lathe-cut vinyl, which you can pre-order here. Meanwhile, you can listen to the opening track by each band.
