PATRIARKH Emerging out of the acrimony of who has the right to call themselves Batushka, the renamed Patriarkh return with their latest offering Prophet Ilja (ПРОРОК ИЛИЯ), a grand, symphonic, atmospheric black metal release, out now on Napalm Records. You can listen to the album here and buy physical copies here.
PARRICIDE Formed in 1992 and split-up in 2015, Poland’s death metal/grindcore act Parricide have had their earliest material re-recorded by the latest iteration of the band, the result is After The Funeral. Originally released last year, Selfmadegod Records have now released the compilation on double CD and double cassette. Enjoy yourself some updated, dirty, nasty death metal. You can listen in full here where there’s also a bunch of merch to go with the release.
DARK SKY BURIAL While you may know him best as the longstanding bass player for grindcore legends Napalm Death, Shane Embury has been busy the last few years carving out a totally different musical path as Dark Sky Burial. This one is dark, esoteric, occult, electronic and largely instrumental. Taking inspiration from Coil, Skinny Puppy and Dead Can Dance, among others, Dark Sky Burial has put out 10 releases in just a few years. V.I.T.R.I.O.L. takes some of the best and puts them all together into one compilation. It’s definitely not metal, but if you want to explore some electronic, industrial, dark sounds, you are strongly recommended to check this out. You can listen to the album in full here and buy a vinyl copy from Consouling Sounds here.
Having to pay gigantic sums for international postage is a real gear grinder. While it’s our default setting to link Bandcamp pages in the case of new and pre-releases, we thought it would be helpful to add some online stores that might provide a useful alternative.
So if you see a release you fancy, but it’s being sold in a far off land and you don’t want to fork out on exorbitant shipping, see if any of the links below can remedy the situation.
