DISRUPTED Death metal with a side order of D-Beat is stomping over the horizon in the form of Sweden’s Disrupted (featuring ex-drummer of Katatonia) and their forthcoming album Stinking Death (due for release on the 24th of January on Trust No One Recordings). You can listen to the album’s opening two tracks here. Meanwhile the album is available to pre-order on colour vinyl—there’s other merch to be had too, all from the link above.

THE GREAT OLD ONES Atmospheric black metal’s HP Lovecraft lovers The Great Old Ones will release their follow up to 2019’s Cosmicism on the 24th of January on Season of Mist. Kadath is available to preorder on CD and vinyl (including a bunch of limited editions) here and you can listen to three tracks from the album to get yourself in the mood for some Lovecraftien metal insanity.

WEED DEMON In case your metal radar isn’t already screaming STONER DOOM ALERT! the title of Weed Demon’s forthcoming album being The Doom Scroll should make everything crystal clear … well perhaps clouded in a thick haze of bong smoke, but you get the idea. Electric Valley Records will release the album on the 31st of January and you can listen to two preview tracks here, where you’ll also find the album available to pre-order on vinyl.
