And as usual, our writers Julia Katrin and Tom Osman are back at it once more!
So, let’s see what’s out there…
INFERNO METAL FESTIVAL Next year, April 17th-20th, you really should keep your weekend open and amazing bands such as Abbath, Cadaver, Kirkebrann, Negative Plane, Feral Nature and Vingulmork have been announced! Of course, the lineup includes much, much more, so make sure you head over here right now to secure your tickets and get ready for Oslo!
SOUTH OF HEAVEN OPEN AIR Another metal festival expanding their lineup is South of Heaven Open Air, which will take place on June 7th and 8th next year in Maastricht, NL! New bands that have now been added to the lineup are no other than In Flames, Dark Angel, Mass Deception and much more, which will add to the already announced lineup which includes no lesser names than Meshuggah, Hatebreed and Sacred Reich just to name a few! Head over here right now to get your hands on some tickets and prepare for the Netherlands!
REPOSE RECORDS Now that the label is down to the last 10 copies of O´discordia by Winterquilt, they have reduced the price to only £10! Winterquilt serves as a multi-genre black metal infused experimental midi vaporwave with baroque undertones, so make sure you have quick hands over here before all of the copies are gone!
NEUROT RECORDINGS As always, Neurot Recordings is here for us! The label´s weekly Pay What You Can segment now offers us Naptánc/Dancing with the Sun by Galloping Coroners (VHK) and all you need to do is head straight over here to claim your copy, and simply pay what you can!
WALKING WOUNDED Cleveland brutal legion Walking Wounded has released the expanded edition of their debut Bestial Condemnation EP on LP/CD/Digital! Head over here right now to claim your copy!
CRYPTOPSY Even after all this time, Cryptopsy is still making blasphemy sound fresh, although many underground metalheads trace the brutal Canadians´ resurgence back to the two Eps they released during the mid-2010s! Now for the very first time, Season of Mist is reissuing both Tome I and Tome II on one combined vinyl! Head over here right now to claim your copy, and then look forward to the release date on December 13th!
OTTONE PESANTE Brassmetal isn’t the most common genre and in fact Italy’s Ottone Pesante might be one of the only purveyors of this style you can find right now. The band have just released Scrolls of War on Aural Music. Check it out here for a record that brings the heavy without resorting to the usual tools you’d normally expect. The album is available on CD and limited vinyl.
MELTED BODIES And talking of things unusual, the weird and wonderful avant-garde metal group Melted Bodies have just put out their second album, The Inevitable Fork. If you want to have your mind melted with surreal heaviness, step this way. You can check out the video to the track “Bloodlines” and get yourself a limited coloured-vinyl copy of the album.
Having to pay gigantic sums for international postage is a real gear grinder. While it’s our default setting to link Bandcamp pages in the case of new and pre-releases, we thought it would be helpful to add some online stores that might provide a useful alternative.
So if you see a release you fancy, but it’s being sold in a far off land and you don’t want to fork out on exorbitant shipping, see if any of the links below can remedy the situation.
