Alright alright alright! If we are not mistaken, it must be our favourite day of the week again; Wednesday!
So, let’s see what’s out there…
WITHIN THE RUINS Next week there will be a very special listening party, more specifically on the 19th of august, which is when Within the Ruins will be hosting Phenomena II listening party at Tin Bridge Brewing Company in Westfield, Massachusetts! Everyone who attends will get a chance to hear the group´s crushing new full-length in advance, as it is scheduled for a release on the 23rd! Additionally, 100 four packs of limited-edition Day Walker New England IPA will be available for purchase! Consider this a nice way to warm up before they head out for their five Southwest headlining shows in October with support from Gore, if you find yourself in the area make sure you don’t miss out on this one!
BENIGHTED Only a bit longer now under Benighted heads out on their short Eastern Canada tour! It’s the group´s first time back in Canada for almost a decade, so you don’t want to miss out on this one! With special guests Cognitive, this is sure to be the show of the year so make sure you head over here for additional information on dates and locations, and of course tickets!
GOST Slasherwave soloist Gost is preparing as we speak to assault the Western half of the US on the Prophecy Tour 2024! Starting at Scorched Fest in Tucson just next week, the tour will then continue through Texas and all the way into the Midwest up the West Coast ending at Heavy Hell V open air in Indianapolis in September! As tickets are on sale right now, there really is no time to waste so make sure you secure yours!
BLACK LION RECORDS To wrap up the distro clearance sale over at Black Lion Records, there is now a whopping 80% discount on! Make sure you head over here right now to get your claws on some goodies and use the code blacklion80 at checkout!
NEUROT RECORDINGS Of course this classic one continues, and this week’s fabulous album pick for Neurot Recordings´ weekly segment of Pay What You Can is no other than Trophy by Made Out of Babies! Head over here right now to claim your very own copy, and simply pay what you can!
MAMALEEK Vida Blue, the latest offering of idiosyncratic, avantgarde metal by anonymous, San-Francisco/ Beirut-linked mystery Mamaleek is out now on The Flenser. Unlike anything else out there (including their past records), you’ll surely never guess the next step of this musical oddity. The album is available to buy on coloured vinyl, cassette and listen to in full here.
WITCHTRAP Hungry for a little bit of speed metal? Hungry As The Beast (the sixth album by Colombia, USA’s Witchtrap is getting a multiple-format release. Originally released digitally earlier this year, Hells Headbangers are putting the album out on CD, cassette, coloured vinyl and picture disk — with copies shipping out early September. You can make pre-orders here and listen to the album in full.
WALLOWING Originally releasing their debut Planet Loss back in 2019, Brighton’s noise-sludge beekeepers (just look up live shots of the band) have announced a 5-year-anniversary remaster of their record on multiple formats on Church Road Records. Highly-limited coloured vinyl versions and a special edition, including an accompanying comic (previously long out of print) are all this way.
Having to pay gigantic sums for international postage is a real gear grinder. While it’s our default setting to link Bandcamp pages in the case of new and pre-releases, we thought it would be helpful to add some online stores that might provide a useful alternative.
So if you see a release you fancy, but it’s being sold in a far off land and you don’t want to fork out on exorbitant shipping, see if any of the links below can remedy the situation.
