BAZUndergroundUpdates CCXXII

Drawing ever near the end of July does not mean that we are drawing anywhere closer to the end of The Underground Updates!

So, let’s see what’s out there…

THE DEVIL’S TRADE Now this one is exciting! The Devil’s Trade has released mind-altering festival footage, so head right over here to watch Vidékek Vannak idebenn live at Kolorádó 2024!

OWLRIPPER RECORDINGS Offering a fabulous discount code over at Owlripper Recordings, all you need to do is use the code 95 at checkout after buying the entire discography over here, for 131 releases, and here, for 118 releases, for the lowest price possible!

BLACK LION RECORDS Until July 31st, the final 80% clearance on the entire product line comes to an end over at Black Lion Records so make sure you head over here right now and have quick hands to help them clear out some space for new releases, and don’t forget to use the code blacklion80!

SATANATH RECORDS This coming October Satanath Records Festival will take place and if that’s something you’d like to keep an eye on, for example when they announce more bands which will appear, you can give the venues a follow over here and here, and keep yourself updated for once the tickets go on sale!

LOCUSTS AND HONEY China’s black metal and dark folk label, Pest Productions, just put out several new albums — including the oppressively weighty Teach Me to Live That I Dread the Grave as Little as My Bed by funeral-doom act Locusts and Honey. Listen to the album in full here (and follow the links to see the label’s other recent releases) where you can also by the album on limited CD.

CARNOPHAGE Once again the ever-reliable Transcending Obscurity Records are on hand to bring us some of most delightfully-gut-pummelling extreme metal, this time in form of Matter of a Darker Nature, the latest offering from brutal/technical death metal act Carnophage. You can check out a few preview tracks from the album here and as it’s Transcending Obscurity there are more special editions and more merch than you could shake a satanic stick at.

GLACIAL TOMB In case you feel like your technical death metal needs to be just a little bit dirty, why not dip it in a nice, murky pool of sludge! Glacial Tomb are on hand to satisfy your dirty, sludgy, tech-death needs with forthcoming album LIghtless Expanse, just announced on Prosthetic Records (and due for release on the 20th of September). In the meantime, you can check out a preview track here and pre-order the album on a range of editions (including some limited, coloured vinyl).

Having to pay gigantic sums for international postage is a real gear grinder. While it’s our default setting to link Bandcamp pages in the case of new and pre-releases, we thought it would be helpful to add some online stores that might provide a useful alternative.

So if you see a release you fancy, but it’s being sold in a far off land and you don’t want to fork out on exorbitant shipping, see if any of the links below can remedy the situation.
