HEILUNG Now this group is not slowing down for anyone! This year they are already booked for the Download Festival, with Glastonbury soon to follow, Heilung has already announced some shows for next year! P IG DESTROYER This group here has lots of things going on right now, including a remixed/remastered reissue of Painter of Dead Girls, a collection of early recordings and B-sides, and in addition there is an announcement for a series of fall shows with The Red Chord! REZN In celebration of their new album Burden, Rezn is celebrating by touring the globe! The first show took place yesterday, but fret not as they will continue to tour through November so there are plenty of shows to go around! TODAY IS THE DAY In early August, Today is the Day has some killer shows lined up, however, it will be a short run which will then be followed up by a full-length tour! SUMAC Fronted by former ISIS main-man Aaron Turner, avant-garde-jazz-metal three-piece SUMAC return with latest album The Healer (released via Thrill Jockey) this Friday. 76 minutes spread over four tracks, this constantly evolving mix of death metal, jazz, post metal, noise rock (and whatever else flows out of them) might very well melt your brain. TRELLDOM If you know the intense Norwegian black-metal vocalist Kristian Eivind Espedal (AKA Gaahl) from his abrasive work with Gorgoroth then you might not expect the more atmospheric take on black metal provided by Trelldom. The band’s latest album …By The Shadows… will be out on Prophecy Productions on the 13th of September.
