#BAZUndergroundUpdates CCC

Happy 1st of May to you all from our writers Julia Katrin and Tom Osman who are celebrating this first day of the month with a brand-new instalment of The Underground Updates!

So, let’s see what’s out there…

BARONESS In support of their latest album Stone, Baroness continues to add new tour dates to their upcoming US tour! In addition, they are also offering a Stone pre-show experience which includes one general admission ticket, a three-song pre-show acoustic performance, the opportunity to have two Baroness items signed and much more! Head over here right now for further information on VIP packages as well as tickets for a show near you!

CREEPING DEATH The Texas death bringers of Creeping Death are heading out to support In Flames on their upcoming headlining run! Commencing today in Portland the tour is running through May 26th they have additional support provided by Gatecreeper and tickets are on sale right now over here!

SPITER A couple of years ago, Spiter burst from the grave with their debut album Bathe the Babe in Bats´ Blood and are now back with a brand-new mini album Enter the Gates of Fucking Hell, scheduled for a release on May 24th! In addition, Spiter will embark upon a month long North American tour alongside Desolus later this month! Make sure you keep your eyes open when it draws closer to that date and get your hands on those tickets!

BLACK LION RECORDS It’s never a dull moment over at Black Lion Records and now we just want to remind all of you of the limited time free shipping still going on over there, which is on all new CD releases, including pre-orders! On Bandcamp there is no code needed but use the code FREESHIP on Big Cartel! Head over here to check out the selection!

NEUROT RECORDINGS Of course the weekly segment of pay what you can over at Neurot Recordings continues as ever, and this week’s album pick is Songs of Townes Van Zandt Vol III by Amenra/Cave In/Marissa Nadler! Head over here right now to secure your copy, and simply pay what you can!

ION DISSONANCE Originally released in October last year Solace by Montreal, Québec’s Ion Dissonance is almost literally what the Total Dissonance Worship label was created for. There have been a few highly collectable vinyl pressings of the album (already hoovered up), but if you’re swift, you can get a copy (limited to 111) from the label’s European webstore. If you’re a fan of Candiria, Dillinger Escape Plan or Meshuggah, you really should. Meanwhile, you can listen to the album on the label’s bandcamp, where there are other limited (but not quite so limited) versions available, as well as digital copies name your price.

VALBORG Spring is in the air. The birds are singing and the trees are blooming. A perfect time then to enjoy the apocalyptic, post-war death-doom hellscape that Germany’s Valborg presents. And now you can get the band’s complete works from 2002-2015 across CDs, including new artwork, with a 64-page booklet, all in a swanky box. Limited to 500 copies, you can get your hands on one from the band’s bandcamp here.

Having to pay gigantic sums for international postage is a real gear grinder. While it’s our default setting to link Bandcamp pages in the case of new and pre-releases, we thought it would be helpful to add some online stores that might provide a useful alternative.

So if you see a release you fancy, but it’s being sold in a far off land and you don’t want to fork out on exorbitant shipping, see if any of the links below can remedy the situation.
