#BAZUndergroundUpdates CCVI

And The Underground Updates has officially switched over to a different day! Wednesdays will be our new designated day, and we will all live happily ever after!

So, let’s see what’s out there…

ALLEGAEON Colorado melodic tech group Allegaeon has unleashed their new stand alone single Iridescent which is accompanied by a fabulous music video! We can now check out the video right over here and of course you need to keep in mind that Allegaeon will hit the road with Decapitated, Scepticflesh and Kataklysm for the Cancer Culture Over North America Tour 2024 from April 16th through May 19th!

NECROT The time is here! This June Necrot will return on a massive North American headlining tour! The Lifeless Birth Tour 2024 will commence on June 5th in Berkeley, California, so make sure you keep your eyes open and fingers fast to secure your tickets to dates and locations near you! The tickets went on sale last Friday, so head over here right now to get them while they are hot!

FANTOMAS With Ipecac having just turned 25 the other day, what an appropriate time for some new vinyl pressings. Experimental, sludge-metal weirdos Fantômas now have new pink and strawberry jam editions of album Suspended Animation. Check them out here.

ONDFODT Finnish black metal unit Ondfødt has just put out Oldfodt (EP), a collection of reimagined renditions of tracks from their first albums, on Black Lion Records. You can buy a copy on CD, cassette, or digital download here and hear the EP in full. Add a hammer-blast of winter to your day.

MAMALEEK Having dazzled with their last album of weird and wonderful avant-garde black metal (2022’s Diner Coffee) tragedy struck the anonymous and mysterious Mamaleek when long-time friend and keyboard player Eric Livingston died. The band soldiered on, making festival appearances, including 2023’s Roadburn festival. September will see the return of the band on record, with what promises to be another unique instalment in the wildly varied Mamaleek catalogue. Vida Blue is available to pre-order here and there’s a preview track you can check out to whet your appetite.

Having to pay gigantic sums for international postage is a real gear grinder. While it’s our default setting to link Bandcamp pages in the case of new and pre-releases, we thought it would be helpful to add some online stores that might provide a useful alternative.

So if you see a release you fancy, but it’s being sold in a far off land and you don’t want to fork out on exorbitant shipping, see if any of the links below can remedy the situation.
