Since you all know what the deal is today, we’ll just get straight to the good stuff!
So, let’s see what’s out there…
NECROWRETCH Just last Thursday, Necrowretch´s third single Dii Mauri became available via Season of Mist, taken from the band’s upcoming album Swords of Dajjal! You can head over here right now and check out the official music video, and of course head over here to place your pre-order for the album, scheduled for a release on the 2nd of February!
BRODEQUIN After 20 years in the shadows, Brodequin has now returned to the scene with Harbinger of Woe! This fourth album is said to live up to the band’s namesake as it is rumoured to be dark and torturous, yet technically exquisite! While the album is scheduled for a release on the 22nd of March, you can still head straight over here now and check out the track Of Pillars and Trees, and of course since we are certain you will like what you hear, you can place your pre-order right here!
NEUROT RECORDINGS The great weekly segment Pay What You Can continues over at Neurot Recordings as usual, and this week’s album pick is Return to Disruption by Grey Daturas! Head over here right now to claim your very own copy and simply pay what you can!
TORPOR Having been announced for a couple of festivals this year already, Torpor is very excited to get going so we thought it would be a great opportunity now to remind you all of what is coming very soon for them! On the 24th of February in Manchester Torpor will be performing alongside bands such as Conan, Wallowing and Sugar Horse, so make sure you head over here right now to get yourself a ticket, there is, if you happen to be in that general area! Should you, however, find yourself in London and wanting to attend their concert on the 9th of March, you can head over here instead for a ticket! Of course, we also must include a reminder that Torpor will also appear at the Roadburn festival on the 20th of April!
M ALIST One-man atmospheric black metal project Malist has released his latest offering Of Scorched Earthon Avantgarde Music. This is the fifth release since 2017 from the Moscow-born multi-instrumentalist. Check it out here, where you can pick up a limited vinyl copy, or CD.
MASTER Formed in Chicago, USA, but now based in Czechia, death metal unit Master goes back all the way to the early 80s. Three decades later the band has just released their 15th full length record Saints Dispelled on Hammerheart Records, so why not brighten up your day with some hammer-smashing extreme metal goodness. Listen in full here and pick up a digital copy.
SLIMELORD Gorging on extreme metal with a headful of acid may not always be advisable, but fortunately with Chytridiomycosis Relinquished (the forthcoming debut album by death metal oddity Slimelord – out 8 March on 20 Buck Spin) you can enjoy the experience of the universe melting in a bubbling fire with no drugs required. You can start melting your brain with the album’s opening track here and if that tickles your pineal gland, you can pre-order a range of vinyl options as well as CD and cassette.
Having to pay gigantic sums for international postage is a real gear grinder.
While it’s our default setting to link Bandcamp pages in the case of new and pre-releases, we thought it would be helpful to add some online stores that might provide a useful alternative.
So if you see a release you fancy, but it’s being sold in a far off land and you don’t want to fork out on exorbitant shipping, see if any of the links below can remedy the situation.
