SATANATH RECORDS Next week, on January 14th, Satanath Records are organising a new gathering of rock and metal music lovers in Yerevan, Armenia! They are meeting at 19:00 at the Poligraf club where the Danish doom metal band Saturnus will be performing for the evening along with the opening act of the Yerevan doom metal project Stepaside! TODAY IS THE DAY Hot on the heels of their 30th anniversary vinyl issue of Willpower, the great and unique Today Is The Day have reissued their equally raging and demented early 90s albums Supernova and s/t on vinyl. You can pick up copies of all three from Supernova Records, where you’ll find various other special edition CDs, t-shirts and the like. You will struggle to find a more mind-blowing, creative band in metal than Today Is The Day, so save yourself the unnecessary pain and just go to the masters.

NARBELETH When contemplating the harsh snowy landscapes that inspire so much classic black metal you might not find yourself thinking of Cuba so often, but a certain group of Cubans are clearly thinking about the frigid north. That group is Narbeleth. Formed in 2008, the band release their 6th full-length record A Pale Crown on German label Folter Records. Get ready to feel the cold, bleak winter. You can listen to the album in full here where you can also pick up a copy on CD.

EISENWALD German purveyors of all things dark and mysterious Eisenwald have just added a range of designs and reprints to their merch store. There you will find Agalloch, Ungfell and Kvelgeyst, t-shirts, hoodies and zip hoods. Their store has options for North America, Europe and Germany specifically, so for many it’ll be possible to bypass some of the brutal shipping fees that are getting harder and harder to avoid. Links to all stores here.

Having to pay gigantic sums for international postage is a real gear grinder.

While it’s our default setting to link Bandcamp pages in the case of new and pre-releases, we thought it would be helpful to add some online stores that might provide a useful alternative.

So if you see a release you fancy, but it’s being sold in a far off land and you don’t want to fork out on exorbitant shipping, see if any of the links below can remedy the situation.
